Tame Impala - Nothing That Has Happened So Far Has Been Anything We Could Control

Lonerism is one of my favorite albums I have ever heard in my life. I don't even know where to begin when trying to describe it. Each song is perfect in my eyes. Never have I identified with music as much as I do with this album. This is my personal favorite. It's the peak of the whole album. It's fucking incredible, the most cosmic thing. I really don't know how he'll top this album and this song. I said that about the first album though so I can't wait to see what the future holds.

Chris Cohen - Caller No.99

Chris Cohen keeps it mellow and extra groovy. Kind of like Vetiver, but much more nostalgic-ey Laurel Canyon vibe. Get the whole album, its perfect for mind drifting on a sunny morning ( physically or just the mindset). Dig.

White Fence - A Pearl is Not a Diamond

A quick post of a song (and album and artist!) that I really dig. This is my favorite off this album. Yar.

Unknown Mortal Orchestra - Swim and Sleep (Like a Shark)

I came across this yesterday and I was pretty pumped because I had no idea UMO came out with a new ep. Here are the two songs off it. Sorry, no linky.

Vintage Joint: Damin Eih A.L.K. & Brother Clark

If you've taken too much acid and have found this blog, then boy are you lucky. Super rare, obscure, early 70's psych-folk. When you come down, search for this album. You won't be disappointed. Maybe if I get ambitious I'll try and find a link and make it easy on you.

The Allah-Las

Came across The Allah-Las' album and I liked the album art so I gave this first track a listen. Before the 1:00 mark I heard 60's revival inspired garage/surf guitars (not the cheesy "let's all take our best gal down to the beach and boogie" shit) and the lyrics "out on the water, is where you're gonna find me", and I was all like "yup, this is for me,". Super cool, a touch of psych as well. Maybe I'm just hearing things, I don't know. Get to boogie-ing

Creedence Clearwater Revival - Ramble Tamble

Usually when someone says they don't like my music, I'm very indifferent about it. That's cool, you like what you like, I like what I like. In this case though, if this song doesn't get your blood pumping, give you goosebumps etc., then you can go fuck yourself. Honestly, this is my favorite Creedence song, one of my favorite songs from I guess technically the 70's (even though they were mostly a 60's band). Fuck, of all time! I also feel its a bit ignored when looking at the Creedence catalog. The lyrics, the guitar playing, the bass, the drums...man oh man. The planets aligned when they recorded this song. Give your life meaning and listen to this song. You can find the whole album on any major torrent site (it's called Cosmo's Factory). May I suggest kickasstorrents or thepiratebay. They already made their money, so don't feel guilty.
